Basic Life Support: BLS About this course Professional Rescuer CPR prepares public safety and healthcare providers to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies. Participants learn current basic life support skills for infants, children, and adults, including rescue breathing, choking response, two-person CPR, and AED use. This course is the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and meets the CPR requirement for accepted Health Professions students at NSCC. --Proof of immunizations, a negative TB test, a COVID-19 vaccine with a booster, or a drug screening may be required for certain healthcare classes.
--You will receive an email from jmccloud@northshore.edu before the first class, containing the student healthcare packet. This packet must be reviewed, electronically signed, and submitted prior to the start of class.
