Basic Life Support: BLS About this course Professional Rescuer CPR prepares public safety and healthcare providers to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies. This course is the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and meets the CPR requirement for accepted Health Professions students at NSCC. Learn to conduct and interpret electrocardiograms (EKGs) including the anatomy and physiology of the heart, equipment technology, how to interpret a rhythm strip, and details of a myocardial infarction. 

Certifications

--You will receive an email from jmccloud@northshore.edu before the first class, containing the student healthcare packet. This packet must be reviewed, electronically signed, and submitted prior to the start of class.
