Nurse Aide State Exam with Refresher Course
Day One: Students meet in the Nurse Assistant Lab at the Lynn campus room LW209 for a pre-test clinical skill review. This pre-test review will cover preparation and completion steps for skills testing, a review of what to expect in the clinical skills portion of the exam, and an opportunity to request two additional skills you would like to review. Day Two: Students will take the clinical skills portion of the test. Clinical skills testing runs between 9:00 am and 6:30 pm, and after you registered, you will be notified of a specific test time between those hours. The knowledge test is administered virtually. Once registered you will receive instructions to schedule the knowledge exam online. Students must pass both the knowledge and skills test to be certified as a Nurse Assistant in the State of Massachusetts. Course fee is non-refundable.You have two options available for taking the refresher course and State certification exam.

Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aide-HEA100
with MULTIPLE INSTRUCTORS
Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aide Nurse Assistant training prepares you for an entry-level career in healthcare while preparing you for the Massachusetts State Board exam to become certified Nurse Assistant. Course also includes certifications in Home Health Aide, CPR, and CMS Hand in Hand Dementia Training, and a clinical experience in a local long-term care facility with a Registered Nurse Instructor. Skills are taught in our state-licensed lab and includes vital signs, moving and turning patients, personal care basics, bed-making, bed, bath and feeding, record keeping and responding to emergencies. Open to students 16 years of age and older. Students must take and pass the State Board examination to become a Certified Nurse Assistant in the state of Massachusetts. The cost of the state exam is not included in the cost of tuition. Textbook and workbook required: Call 978-236-1200 for information.
