Pharmacy Technician Program Students have 4-6 months to finish the online program. Growing demand for pharmacy technicians offers strong job opportunities across healthcare settings. This program prepares students for entry-level roles and the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam. Students learn pharmacy terminology, prescription processing, pharmacology, calculations, law, and ethics, along with insurance procedures, inventory control, and communication skills. Graduates gain the knowledge needed to work in pharmacy settings and understand top 200 medications, including their uses and classifications. Certification Opportunities (exam fees not included): PTCB, Pharmacy Technician Certification Board and NWCA, National Workforce Pharmacy Technician Associate Certification, and Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license. All students who successfully complete the program (and pass a background check and drug screen) will have access to the Ready to Work (RTW) Job and Externship Placement services. Health Care Requirements for Non-Credit Health courses: 1. Accuplacer Placement Exam: If you do not have previous college credits students are required to take the Math and Reading Assessment (Accuplacer) and meet or exceed required score.
