About this course
Professional Rescuer CPR prepares public safety and healthcare providers to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies. Participants learn current basic life support skills for infants, children, and adults, including rescue breathing, choking response, two-person CPR, and AED use.
This course is the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and meets the CPR requirement for accepted Health Professions students at NSCC.
The course reflects science and education from the 2025 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC)
Certifications
Successful completion of all skills and the final exam earns a two-year American Heart Association certification.
