Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aide with State Exam About the Course The Nurse Assistant training program prepares students for an entry‑level career in healthcare and for the Massachusetts State Board exam to become a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). Students learn hands‑on skills in our state‑licensed lab, including taking vital signs; moving and turning patients; personal care and hygiene; bed making, bathing, and feeding; basic record keeping; and responding to emergencies. Clinicals Includes a supervised clinical experience in a local long‑term care facility with a Registered Nurse Instructor. Central Sterile Processing Technician

About This Course
Learn how to clean, sterilize, and manage surgical instruments and medical equipment used in hospitals and clinics. This program covers setting up equipment for procedures, preventing infection, and handling inventory, including ordering and maintaining supplies.

Clinicals
Students will gain classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience in a sterile processing department, with schedules based on clinical site availability. Please note: Clinical site placements are based on the North Shore (MA) service area.

Certifications
After completing the program, students are eligible to take the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification exam at a local Prometric Testing Center (exam fee not included).

Students must complete 400 hours of on-the-job experience within 6 months of employment to be fully certified.

Costs
The required textbook, workbook and flashcards are included in the cost of the course. Exams are not included in the cost of the program.
