Creative Writing About This Course Do you have a story to tell or an emotion to express? This welcoming and inspiring course invites writers of all levels to explore the art of creative writing in a supportive, engaging environment. Each class begins with a guided exercise designed to spark ideas and ease you into the creative process. While the focus is on short fiction, you’ll also have the freedom to experiment with creative nonfiction and poetry, allowing you to discover and develop your unique voice. Throughout the course, you’ll learn practical strategies for maintaining a consistent writing practice, even amid busy schedule, as well as gain insight into publishing opportunities in both print and online formats. Participants will have the opportunity to share their work and receive constructive, encouraging feedback from fellow writers. Whether you're a current writer or just getting started, all are welcome-no prior experience is necessary. Materials Course handouts will be provided during class.

Novel Bootcamp About This Course Attention fiction writers! Join author and former Bantam Doubleday Dell editor Anthony Gangi for an immersive, hands-on journey from idea to completed first draft. In this intensive eight-week course, you’ll be guided step by step through the often elusive process of writing a novel, culminating in a full draft by the end of the session. While most of the writing will take place outside of class, each session is designed to provide structure, momentum, and expert insight. The course places particular emphasis on essential storytelling elements such as plot structure, compelling characterization, and dynamic dialogue. Along the way, you’ll receive thoughtful feedback and encouragement from both the instructor and a supportive community of fellow writers.
